HinterPlace Design Studio is based in Orange County, CA and we are all about using fun colors and unique found objects to make your unicorn dream space/home! We focus on the client's personality and make sure a space is not only aesthetically pleasing, it also has maximum functionality. Our work is a reflection of the people and brands we work with alongside with drawing global inspiration from our travels. Our clients choose to work with us to create spaces that tell their own past, present and future stories. We are characteristic, eclectic, modern and most of all, FUN.

Designer Mellissa’s style is anything but boring. She is not afraid to use colors and loves to mix patterns for the most unexpected combinations. With a background in fine arts and graphic design, she is not just your designer but your friend who gets to know you and has an open minded approach to all her clients. Mellissa is drawn to natural and organic materials, drawing inspiration from the California desert.
